Middle Hub Blog – Week 9-10 and Holidays
Middle Hub Blog
Hello and welcome to my Middle Hub Blog, my name is Amos Pilgrim and I’m the Middle Hub Team Leader here at Rolleston Christian School. The purpose of this blog is to inform children, parents and the community of what we are learning about and how we can encourage and challenge children at home. I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Thanks – Amos.
Firstly let me extend my heart felt thanks to all the parents, children and and staff who have supported me through the tough time my family and I went through in week 9, I really appreciated your kind words and actions.
I would also like to thank the community, staff and most of all our fantastic children for making our first ever cross country such a fun and successful event. It was a pleasure to organise and be a part of.
I wasn’t able to attend our maiden Kapa Haka performance but I’m told that everyone involved should be proud of their efforts and we had a great turn out to support our tamariki. Ka Pai!
The above events have really reinforced to me how blessed we all are to call Rolleston Christian School home. We value strong links between community, home and school and the evidence speaks for itself!
Please do take time over he two week holiday to relax and re-energize. The staff and I have planned most of Term 4 already and it looks a VERY busy term with swimming, camp, athletics, kapa haka, library bus visits, school photos and much much more! Over the holidays I encourage you to take all learning opportunities available. This may include; daily reading, using khan academy for maths, writing creatively or recounting an event, painting or other types of art and more!
Happy and safe holidays,
