Message from Staff

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Week 9!  We have a very busy week, so please make sure you have read last week’s email to keep up to date with what’s going on.

It is easy at this time of the year to get caught up in the busyness of the season without stopping to really appreciate the blessing we are celebrating.  As I watched the practise performances this morning I was struck again with the blessing of a predominately state-funded school where the true meaning of Christmas can be sung and danced about.  Our joy, hope and peace can be found through our Lord.  I hope you are able to find time in the coming couple of weeks to pause and appreciate this joy, hope and peace.

We are looking forward to hosting you all at our end of year prize giving tomorrow.  We have been teaching the children about the importance of performing and what it means to have 300 people looking at you. Please take some time to speak with your children about what you are hoping to see from them at the prize giving too.  Performing in front of people takes a lot of courage and we want the children to feel confident to do their best as they get up on stage.

I look forward to chatting with you all over pizza and chips tomorrow.

Many blessings,

From the PCG

What is the PCG all about?
The Parent Community Group’s Role
The Parent Community Group are an entity of the school, and therefore under the authority of the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the school, setting the strategic direction of the school and keeping the leadership of the school accountable for the day-to-day management of the school as it heads towards the strategic goals.

The PCG is intended as a group in which parents and other school community group members, eg. grandparents, can be actively involved in supporting the Board and School Leadership to meet the strategic goals, thereby enhancing the educational experience for all members of the school community, but primarily the children attending RCS.

Mission Statement
As a group we are here to bring glory to God as together we grow a school community that equips, encourages and supports each other to be a blessing to the community.  We meet twice a term on a Monday evening in the school office, not everybody can make every meeting and that’s ok.

We need you!

PCG Pastoral Care
Please if you know about anyone in need of meals or any kind of pastoral care matter, please send us an email to or use the PCG Box in the office foyer.
